G.A.K.M Matrimonial and Singles Events Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions: 1.1 "Organisation", “we”, “us” and “our” are references to G.A.K.M UK ( G.A.K.M is an abbreviation of Gujarati Arya Kshatriya Mahasabha United Kingdom and is also referred to as Mahasbha UK). 1.2 "Terms" means the terms and conditions. 1.3 "Tickets" means any items offered for sale by the organisation. 1.4 "Customer", “you”, “your” and “client” means any organisation or individual who places an order with the organisation for tickets. 1.5. "Contract" means the acceptance by the organisation of an order, place by a customer and such acceptance shall occur when the organisation commences work on an order or when the organisation agrees to accept the order and communicates this to the customer. 2. Contracts 2.1 These terms shall apply to every contract. 2.2 The organisation may ask for any information it requires to fulfil the contract and there shall be no liability upon the organisation for non-performance if the necessary information is not provided. 3. Price 3.1 Where applicable all prices are inclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. 3.2 All prices quoted by the organisation are only valid at the time of contract and are exclusive of any other matters such as travel expenses, accommodation, meals and refreshments unless otherwise stated. 3.2 The organisation reserves the right to revise the quoted price in the event of unforeseen and extraordinary expenses for the organisation appertaining the tickets. 4. Payment 4.1 Tickets will only be dispatched to the customer when payment has been made in full in cleared funds and in any variance of this term shall be upon such terms as the Organisation dictates. 4.2 Payment is accepted by cheque, debit card, credit card or Inter-Bank Transfer. Full payment is due on booking unless otherwise stated. Where a deposit is taken the full balance must be settled 30 days before the event. In the absence of payment within these terms the booking is considered cancelled and any deposit is retained by G.A.K.M UK. 4.3 All online purchases are carried out by a third party payment processor with the highest security in place. We never have access to your sensitive payment details and we do not store it in any way, shape or form. 4.4 Customers are responsible for the provision of sufficient funds in their account and we will not be held responsible for any charges incurred as a result of overdrawing of the bank account or credit card or as a result of failed transactions. 4.5 In the event of a missed payment, all outstanding payments are due immediately. If the full outstanding payment is not made within 14 working days we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain all monies paid to date 5. Cancellations & Refunds 5.1 Cancellation by you Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. However we do understand that there maybe circumstances which are beyond your control and have a system of appeal. In such circumstances an “appeal” must be made in writing or by email to singlesball@gakm.co.uk . The organisation is not responsible for any error in the delivery of this information by you. 5.2 Cancellation by us. In the event that an event is cancelled by us, we will refund your fee in full but will not be responsible for any indirect, special, or consequential damages, including transportation, lodging, and meal costs. 5.3 Changes to the programme and cancellation We reserve the right to change the programme, the structure or the location for an event without prior notice. Delegates will be advised of these changes as soon as possible, either by email or by telephone. We reserve the right to change an event date to another date within a reasonable number of days from the original date. Refunds may be given should you not wish to attend on this alternative date, except where the change is due to external factors such as industrial action, bad weather etc. 5.4 Refunds All agreed refunds will be processed within 14 working days of written request being received. 6. Protection, Liability and Safety 6.1 To protect other attendees, we reserve the right to ask for identification and proof of age before granting entry to an event. 6.2 The organisation cannot and do not verify personal information on our guests, such as marital status or any other aspects of their general background such as potential blood relationships. It is your responsibility to verify any details of other members and guests as you see fit. 6.3 You are solely responsible for your interactions with other delegates. The organisation is not responsible for the conduct of delegates, please use common sense and caution at all times. 6.4 In any event the organisation shall not be liable for death or personal injury suffered by the client or it's guests arising out of the booking. 6.5 By agreeing to these terms you confirm that you are over 23 years old, of single status (i.e. single, legally divorced or widowed), have not been convicted of any offence, or subject to any injunction or any order to pay damages relating to violence and/or any offence under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 (or under any statutory enactment replacing and/or amending such Act) 7. Privacy Policy and Data 7.1 We agree never to sell, make public, or distribute your details that we keep with your booking records. This information is for internal use and will never leave the organisation. 7.2 Customers are responsible for keeping their usernames, passwords and other sensitive data safe. If a breach is suspected, the customer is required to change their password. They can do so by emailing singlesball@gakm.co.uk 7.3 Filming and photography may take place at any event for promotional purposes. In no circumstances will the organisation be liable to any losses or damages in respect of images taken at an event, although we will make every effort to exclude those who wish to protect their own image. 8. Force Majure 8.1 The organisation shall not be liable to the customer in the event that the organisation is unable to carry out any part of the contract for causes beyond its control. 8.2 The organisation will notify the customer as soon as is reasonably possible in such circumstances. 9. Personal Conduct and responsibility 9.1 We aim to provide the highest levels of comfort and safety in a fun and friendly environment which requires your full participation in all activities. By accepting to attend our events, we expect you to conduct yourself in a manner which is respectful to both the organisers, speakers and other delegates. If we believe that you are in breach of this, we reserve the right to remove you from the event with no refund or compensation payable. 10. General Laws of England and Wales will govern any contract.
